The Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Jibril Ismail Falgore, has extended his greetings to Muslims on the commencement of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting.
This message was contained in a statement issued by Spokesperson Kamaluddeen Sani Shawai on Saturday. Falgore said Ramadan reflects the “shared good qualities that we have: compassion, sharing, and supporting one another. These are what we need now more than ever.”
Falgore further emphasized the importance of sacrificing more for the poor and showing greater commitment to the plight of the needy. He urged Muslims to live up to these expectations.
“Ramadan presents an opportunity to pray more for Kano State and the country as a whole,” he said. He prayed to Allah to accept our prayers during the Ramadan fast.
