The Federal Government of Nigeria has formally taken over Tai Solarin University of Education, (TASUED), elevating it to the status of a Federal University.
This transformation positions TASUED as one of the three dedicated Universities of Education in the country, reinforcing the government’s commitment to advancing teacher education and human capital development.
In a statement , the Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, expressed gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for approving the transition and for his unwavering dedication to reposition the education sector for national development.
He also, commended the Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, for his support and trust in the Federal Government’s efforts to enhance the nation’s academic landscape.
Dr. ALausa acknowledged the Awujale of Ijebu-land, His Royal Majesty, Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona, for his steadfast backing of this historic transition, which would bring lasting benefits to the people.
