Director-General of the Kano State Primary Health Care Management Board (KSPHCMB), Professor Salisu Ahmad Ibrahim, today led a supervision visit to Tofa Primary Health Centre to monitor the ongoing Facility Annual Operational Plan (AOP) Exercise.
The supervision is part of the Board’s continuous efforts to strengthen primary healthcare planning and ensure that facilities across the state develop realistic, data-driven operational plans to improve service delivery.
In a statement signed by public relations officer state primary healthcare management Board Sa’adatu Sulaiman said during the visit, Professor Ibrahim commended the management and staff of Tofa PHC for their commitment to the AOP process, describing it as a critical step in improving health outcomes at the grassroots.
“Effective planning is the foundation for quality healthcare delivery,” he said. “By aligning facility-level operational plans with state and national priorities, we can better address the needs of our communities and ensure that every resident of Kano State has access to essential health services.”
Professor Ibrahim reaffirmed the Board’s determination to provide continuous technical guidance and oversight to ensure that all primary healthcare facilities in Kano State adopt strategic and evidence-based planning for 2026 and beyond.
The Facility AOP exercise serves as a vital platform for translating state-level health strategies into actionable plans at the grassroots, ensuring that each primary healthcare centre meets the unique needs of its immediate community.
