The Kano State Qur’an Recitation Competition Committee has commended the Chairman of Nassarawa Local Government Area, Amb. Yusuf Shuaibu Imam (Ogan Boye), for his sustained commitment and support to students representing Kano State at the ongoing National Qur’an Recitation Competition in Borno State.
As part of this support, the Chairman approved the deployment of a special delegation to Borno State to encourage and provide assistance to three (3) students from Nassarawa Local Government Area who are participating in the national competition.
In a statement signed by information officer Nassarawa local government Hadiza Ahmad Idris said the delegation was led by the Leader and Speaker of the Nassarawa Local Government Council, Hon. Aliyu Musa Jibo, and included elected councillors from Tudun Murtala Ward, Hon. Abubakar Musa Noway, and Gawuna Ward Alhaji Yusuf Mohammed Mai Yadi, alongside the Special Adviser on Religious Affairs and the Head of Community Development Department, Alh. Ibrahim Hussain Cediyar Yan Gurasa.
Speaking on behalf of the delegation Aliyu Musa Jibo stated that Amb. Yusuf Shuaibu Imam (Ogan Boye) has consistently demonstrated strong dedication to religious development. He highlighted the Chairman’s unwavering support for Qur’anic education, Islamic schools, and the strengthening of Jumu’ah mosques across the Local Government Area.
Alhaji Jibo further stated that the Nassarawa students have exhibited exceptional performance, discipline, and confidence throughout the competition, thereby representing Kano State with honour and distinction.
According to the delegation, the Chairman’s support extends beyond logistics to include moral encouragement, continuous follow-up, financial assistance, and the deployment of senior government officials, including the Speaker of the Council, to boost the morale of the participating students.
Notably, three (3) out of the eight (8) students representing Kano State at the National Qur’an Recitation Competition are from Nassarawa Local Government Area. This achievement underscores the positive impact of effective leadership and sustained institutional support for religious and educational development.
The Committee prayed that Almighty Allah rewards the Chairman abundantly, grants him continued wisdom and strength in service to the Qur’an and its adherents, blesses the participating students with success, and elevates Kano State in all ramifications.
