Throughout the 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League season, Kano Pillars went through several distractions, anger and frustration following penalties imposed on the club by the league governing body after the misconduct of some supporters during league matches.
The situation created serious challenges for the team, management and supporters as many football lovers in Kano feared the four-time Nigerian champions could be dragged into relegation troubles.
Despite the pressure and difficult moments, the calm character, leadership qualities and maturity displayed by the General Manager of the club, Ahmed Musa, who is also a former Super Eagles captain, helped stabilize the team both on and off the pitch.

The support and encouragement from the Kano State Government also played an important role in ensuring that the club remained focused throughout the season.
Players, coaches and officials continued to work hard despite the setbacks, while loyal supporters kept praying and standing behind the club during the difficult period.
To the glory of God, Kano Pillars eventually survived the relegation battle and successfully retained their place in the Nigeria Premier Football League for another season.
Many football stakeholders have now called on supporters to always maintain peace, discipline and good conduct during matches in order to protect the image and progress of the club in future competitions.
