The Chairman of Rano Local Government Council, Kano state, Alhaji Muhammad Naziru Ya’u Rano, has flagged off a free medical outreach program designed to provide free surgical care for 100 indigent residents.
Speaking during the flag-off ceremony held in Rano headquarters, Naziru Ya’u announced that the initiative, organized in collaboration with the ANNUR Medical and Surgical Team will offer free surgical operations for patients suffering from Hernia, Appendicitis, Goiter, Vesicovaginal fistula (VVF), and Nodules.
He stated that,the program will run for five (5) consecutive days, delivering critical healthcare services to residents of Rano and neighboring communities.
The Chairman emphasized that this initiative aligns with the local government’s ongoing efforts to enhance healthcare access and alleviate the burden of surgical ailments on underprivileged individuals.
In a statement signed by Zonal information officer Rano Rabi’u Khalil Kura, Alhaji Naziru Ya’u Rano urged residents to take full advantage of the opportunity and also extended his gratitude to the Kano State Government under the leadership of His Excellency, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, for their unwavering support in promoting access to basic healthcare for all people of Rano local government and Kano state in general l.
In his welcome address, the Primary Healthcare Coordinator of Rano LGA, Ibrahim S. Ibrahim commended Malam Naziru Ya’u Rano and Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for prioritizing healthcare. He further revealed that plans are in motion to provide free medicines to all health facilities within Rano Local Government Area.
Dr. Ayuba Bashir Head of the ANNUR Medical and Surgical Team advised patients to strictly follow doctors’ instructions and post-surgery care guidelines to ensure a full recovery.
On behalf of the beneficiaries, Malamisa Idris expressed profound appreciation to the Rano Local Government Council and the Kano State Government for their commitment to improving community health and well-being.
