The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board is pleased to announce the successful departure of the sixth batch of pilgrims from King AbdulAziz International Airport, Jeddah, to Malam Aminu Kano International Airport after completing the 2025 Hajj exercise.
In a statement signed by information officer state pilgrims welfare Board Sulaiman Abdullahi Dederi said During a farewell address at the airport, the Director General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, urged the departing pilgrims to continue upholding the good conduct and discipline they acquired in the Holy Land.
He also offered prayers for their safe journey and return home, and advised them to avoid any negative behavior that could diminish the spiritual benefits of their Hajj.
This latest departure marks another important milestone in the ongoing return operations coordinated by the Board. With this flight, nearly all pilgrims from the various Local Government Areas have returned home, with only a few government officials remaining.
The sixth flight consisted of pilgrims from the following five Local Government Areas and Centers 45, 46, 47, and 49:
1. Bichi: 47 males, 23 females
2. Makoda: 18 males, 22 females
3. Tsanyawa: 9 males, 6 females
4. Dawakin Tofa: 29 males
5. Ghari: 5 males, 4 females
The pilgrims were airlifted by Max Air from King AbdulAziz International Airport, Jeddah. The flight departed at exactly 7:38 a.m., carrying a total of 493 pilgrims along with some government officials.
