The Kano State Government under the purposeful and people-oriented leadership of Abba Kabir Yusuf has approved the release of the sum of Eighty Seven Million, Four Hundred and Thirty Five Thousand Naira Only (₦87,435,000.00) for the re-accreditation of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Muhammad Abdullahi Wase Teaching Hospital.
This landmark approval once again reflects steadfast commitment of the administration of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf towards revitalizing the healthcare sector, strengthening medical education, and ensuring the delivery of quality and accessible healthcare services to the good people of Kano State.

In a statement signed by public relations officer state Hospitals management Board Samira Sulaiman said the approval is expected to significantly enhance the hospital’s capacity in specialist training, maternal and child healthcare services, as well as improve professional standards in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology. It further demonstrates the government’s determination to position Kano State as a centre of excellence in healthcare delivery and medical training in Nigeria.
Indeed, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has continued to distinguish himself as a compassionate and visionary leader whose administration prioritizes the wellbeing of citizens through strategic investments in critical sectors, especially health. This approval is yet another testament to his administration’s resolve to build a healthier, stronger, and more prosperous Kano State.
