Kano state government has reiterated its commitment to tackle the unemployment especially for the youth across the state.
Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf stated this during the launching of 500 youths empowerment in Garko local government area.

Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf represented by his political adviser Alhaji Mustafa Hamza Buhari known as Bakwana said the present administration under governor Abba Kabir Yusuf takes youths empowerment as part of good policy that make the state farward.
Alhaji Mustafa Hamza Buhari Bankwana, said the initiative reflects the administration’s determination to improve the welfare of citizens through investments in health, education, infrastructure, and social support across the 44 local government areas of Kano State.

The Governor assured residents that the government would continue to implement people-oriented projects and urged the people of Garko and the wider Kano South region to sustain their support for the administration.
Governor Yusuf commended the Commissioner for Land and Physical Planning, Alhaji Abduljabar Muhammad Umar for his role in promoting community development and empowering residents.
Speaking Earlier, the state commissioner for land and physical planning Alhaji Abduljabbar Muhammad Umar said the empowerment programme was initiated to tackle youth unemployment and promote self-reliance.

The commissioner further said, the beneficiaries are from different group of people comprised youths, women, political stakeholders, religious leaders, and community representatives.
Alhaji Abduljabbar Muhammad Umar pointed out that, the empowerment package included over 100 motorcycles as well as cash grants of 500,000, 300,000, and 200,000 Naira each distributed to beneficiaries. Adding that, the second phase of the gesture will come in the near future.
The commissioner urged the beneficiaries to use what they received in a good way for their own benefit and the community at large.
Speaking at the occasion, the Chairperson of the Kano State Civil Service Commission, Hajiya Ladidi Ibrahim Garko, expressed appreciation to Governor Yusuf for fulfilling key promises during the campaign to the Garko community, including the upgrade of Garko General Hospital, rehabilitation of Garko Dam, modernization of the local market, and the ongoing construction of a five-kilometre road.
In their saperate goodwill massages, the representative of the Speaker Kano state House of Assembly Alhaji Yusuf Isma’il Falgore, Chairman Garko local government area Alhaji Saminu Abdullahi, the District Head of Garko Dokajin Kano Alhaji Muhammad Ali and state ALGON Chairperson Hajiya Sa’adatu Yusha’u Soja Tudun Wada.
