Kano state ministry for health has assured its readiness to support Clinton Health Access Initiative CHAI for the projects on the healthcare delivery.
The state Commissioner for Health, Dr. Abubakar Labaran Yusuf announced this while receiving a courtesy visit from a delegation of the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) in his office.
The team led by the Programme Manager, Dr. Opeyemi Abudre they were in Kano to discuss important areas of collaboration with the Ministry of Health.
In his opening remarks, Dr. Opeyemi Abudre explained that the visit was aimed at reviewing CHAI’s ongoing support to the state and strengthening cooperation on key health sector interventions.
Dr opeyemi noted that CHAI remains committed to support Kano state in improving healthcare services and achieve better outcomes for its citizens.
Responding, the state Commissioner for Health Dr Abubakar Labaran Yusuf expressed his appreciation for CHAI’s consistent contribution to the development of the health sector in the State.
Dr Abubakar Labaran Yusuf pointed out that CHAI’s technical and programme will make a positive impact across various health programmes.
In a statement signed by public relations officer state ministry for health Dr. Abubakar Labaran Yusuf assured to the delegation the Ministry’s full support and commitment and cooperation at all times.
The commissioner emphasized that the government values strong partnerships and will it continue to support organisations that contribute meaningfully to strengthening the state’s health system.
The meeting was attended by members of the Ministry’s Management Team, whom joined the Commissioner in receiving the CHAI delegation.
The visit ended with a renewed commitment in working together for a stronger, more efficient health system in the State.
