Kano Heads of Media Forum held General Congress today Saturday at Kano Press Centre. During the meeting, new executive members have been elected to run the affairs of the Forum.
Those elected include Ado Sa’idu Warawa Chairman, Aishatu Sule Vice Chairman, Aminu Nuruddeen Amin Secretary, Sani Yusuf Hanga Treasurer and Muhammad Aminu Jolly Publicity Secretary.
Inaugurating the outgoing Chairman Prince Daniel Abokin, presented the Forums draft constitution and charged the new exco keep the flag flying and serve diligently with almost responsibility.
In his acceptance speech, the new Chairman on behalf of exco, said the new leadership will work to ensure promotion of media excellence and professionalism, enhancing collaboration among media stakeholders, advocating media freedom and rights.
He envisions a vibrant and dynamic media landscape in Kano State, where journalists and media practitioners can thrive and contribute to the state’s development.
The new leadership then urged all media stakeholders to support their efforts and work together to achieve the set objectives.
We appreciate the support of our members, stakeholders and confident that together, we can make a positive impact on the media industry in Kano State.
