The Kebbi State Government, has approved the appointment of Dr. Aminu Haliru-Bunza, as the new District Head of Bunza in Gwandu Emirate.
This is contained in a statement signed by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Garba Umar-Dutsinmari and issued to newsmen in Birnin Kebbi.
The statement said, the appointment followed the demise of the District Head of Bunza, Alhaji Dr. Mustapha Bunza in Bunza Local Government Area of the state.
It’s said, Gwandu Emirate Council had received nine applications from the ruling houses who indicated their interest to contest for the vacant post and the candidates were screened by the Emirate’s Selection Committee accordingly.
The statement added that, Gwandu Emirate Council finally selected three applicants as the most suitable candidates for the appointment as the new District Head of Bunza that include, Dr Aminu Haliru Bunza, Muhammad Bello Aliyu Bunza, and Alhaji Ladan Sajo Bunza, while Dr. Aminu Haliru Bunza is considered and approved to be the new District Head of Bunza.
