The Director General of the Kano State Primary Health Care Management Board (KSPHCMB), Professor Salisu Ahmad Ibrahim, on Monday, 23rd March 2026, conducted an unscheduled supervisory visit to Kabuga Primary Health Centre (PHC) as part of ongoing efforts to enhance accountability and improve healthcare service delivery across the state.
In a statement signed by public relations officer KSPHMB Sa’adatu Sulaiman said During the visit, the Director General expressed concern over staff absenteeism and poor punctuality, which were found to be affecting effective service delivery at the facility. In a decisive move to restore order and efficiency, Professor Ibrahim immediately relieved the facility’s deputy officer in-charge of her duties and appointed a more punctual and committed staff, Khadija T. Musa, as her replacement.
Similarly, the Routine Immunization (RI) Unit was restructured following observed lapses in performance. The Director General replaced the unit’s officer in-charge with Maimuna Adnan Abdulhamid to ensure improved coordination and strengthened immunization services at the facility.
In addition, all other staff members of the facility were issued warning letters for failure to report to duty on time. Professor Ibrahim reiterated the Board’s zero tolerance for negligence and emphasized the importance of discipline, dedication, and professionalism in delivering quality primary healthcare services to the people of Kano State.
