The National Assembly has adjoined plenary till next week to mourn the passing of former President Muhammadu , who died yesterday in London hospital.

In honour of his legacy and service to the nation, President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives have directed that all activities should be suspended immediately until Tuesday,22 July, 2025.

The leadership of both Chambers, extend heartfelt condolences to:

the government of Nigeria and people of Katsina State; as well as the Buhari family.

The statement says President Muhammadu Buhari will be remembered for his commitment to Nigeria’s unity and his integrity.

The leadership of the national Assembly pray that the Almighty Allah grant his soul eternal rest in Aljannatul Firdaus.
