The Federal Government has awarded a cash prize of N200,000 to Nafisah Abdullahi, a Nigerian teenager who emerged victorious at the prestigious TeenEagle Global Finals, an international English language competition.
The reward was presented on Thursday during a ceremony by the Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, which held in Abuja in recognition of Nafisah’s outstanding performance on the global stage, where she competed against participants from around the world.
Government officials praised her achievement as a testament to the potential and excellence of Nigerian youths in international academic contests. The gesture, they noted, is part of broader efforts to encourage educational excellence and inspire more young Nigerians to pursue global opportunities.
Nafisah’s victory has drawn praise nationwide, with many calling her a role model for students across the country.
