Kano State Private Health Institutions Management Agency (PHIMA) has embarked on a comprehensive inspection tour of private health facilities within the metropolitan area of the state.
In a statement signed by public relations officer PHIMA Binta Kabir Usman the Director General of PHIMA, Professor Salisu Ahmed Ibrahim, alongside his management team, led the special inspection tour aimed at strengthening regulatory frameworks and ensuring that private health facilities comply with the required standards.

Professor Salisu Ahmed Ibrahim explained that the purpose of the tour was to assess whether the facilities conform to the expected standards, including the quality of services rendered, the condition of theatres, patient care areas, toilet facilities, and the general environment.
He emphasized PHIMA’s commitment to ensuring that all private health institutions across the state operate in line with the regulations of the Kano State Ministry of Health and the health policies of the current administration.
The Director General also urged all private health facility operators to ensure full compliance with the set standards, warning that PHIMA will not hesitate to take appropriate action during subsequent inspections.
