Nigeria Union of Journalists Kano state council has organised One day capacity building workshop for its members as part of its 2025 Press Week.

The event took place at the state press center is in line with the series activities of long week activity.

In his welcome address, the State council Chairman Comrade Sulaiman Abdullahi Dederi said the workshop is aim to rebuild members capacity on the law and ethics of journalism.

 

According to Comrade Sulaiman Abdullahi Dederi the participants were selected from different Media Stations across the state.

Comrade Sulaiman Abdullahi Dederi urged the participants to use what they learned during the workshop for the development of journalism in the state and the nation at large.

The chairman also thanks Kano state government for its support given to the council in all the time.

In his paper presentation, a veteran Journalist also Chief Press Secretary Kano Government House Mustafa Muhammad on safety Tips on Journalism spoke at length on how a journalist be safe while covering stories in hostile area.

Other paper presenters are Adamu Salisu from National Broadcast Commisson Kano office on Code of Ethics of Journalism and another veteran Journalist Amina Yahaya Deen on Tools for Effective Translation.

In their saperate goodwill massages managing Director Kano state Radio Corporation Alhaji Adamu Abubakar Rano and his counterpart of Hikima Radio Alhaji Muhammad Musa Muhammad Inya.

The Fifty Number participants were drown from the state Conventional and Social Media.
