The Chairman of Bagwai Local Government area of Kano State, Engr. Bello Abdullahi Gadanya has launched the distribution of twenty thousand Naira to One thousand youths and women organisations in the area as empowerment.
Similarly, the Chairman launched the distribution of five new tokumbo cars for official use and five thousand cartoons of Superghetti to party stalwarts in the area worth over One Hundred Million Naira.
Speaking at the distribution ceremony, Engr. Bello Gadanya said the distribution of the cash donations is to empower youths and women in their local businesses to sustain peace and economic development among the people in the area.
He noted that, the five thousand cartoons of Superghetti were distributed among the stalwarts in each of ten wards of the Local Government as palliative to ease the suffering among the people especially at this period of high cost of food stuffs.
The Chairman explained that the beneficiaries of the twenty thousand Naira empowerment included that of students union, Okada riders, Social Media Organisations and other women and youths organisations.
Speaking at the occasion, the Kano State NNPP Chairman, Alh. Hashimu Suleiman Dungurawa commended the chairman for his laudable achievements especially in the areas of Education, health care, road and bridges construction across the local government.
Also speaking, the Special Adviser to the Kano State governor on Political Matters, Alh. Sanusi Surajo Kwankwaso said the projects and programmes executed by the local government chairmen across the state are part of the Kwankwasiyya movement philosophy and assured that the state and local governments would continue to execute projects that have direct bearing to the plight of the people.
In a votes of thanks, the leader of the legislative council, Sani Ibrahim Badau, commended the State governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for approving huge amount of money to the Local Government council to execute projects and assist people at any possible time and assured that the vehicles given to all the offices and departments would be judicious utilise for the development of the area.
The five vehicles launched were allocated to the office of the Local Government Secretary, Legislative Council, Education department, Primary Healthcare Department and Hisbah Command.
