Kano Govt Approves Early Payment of March Salaries Ahead of Sallah

The Kano State Government has approved the early payment of March 2026 salaries to civil servants across the state ahead of the forthcoming Eid al‑Fitr celebrations.

The directive was issued by the Executive Governor of Kano State to enable workers prepare adequately for the Sallah festivities.

The Acting Head of Service, Hajiya Bilkisu Shehu Maimota, disclosed this in a statement, noting that the governor had directed the immediate release and payment of the salaries to all categories of civil servants in the state.

According to her, the gesture is aimed at allowing workers celebrate the upcoming Eid el-Fitr in a convenient and dignified manner.

Maimota explained that the early payment reflects the administration’s commitment to the welfare of civil servants and its appreciation of their dedication and contributions to the development of the state.

She urged civil servants to utilise the opportunity responsibly while maintaining commitment, discipline and efficiency in the discharge of their duties for improved service delivery.

The government also reaffirmed its resolve to continue implementing policies that promote workers’ welfare and enhance productivity within the state civil service.
