The Kano State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (KSCHMA) has recorded another major success under its Rapid Response intervention programme as Khadija Adam has been discharged from Sir Muhammad Sunusi Specialist Hospital following a successful six-hour orthopedic surgery and remarkable recovery.
Khadija Adam was earlier referred by the KSCHMA Rapid Response Team (RRT), under the directive of the Executive Secretary, Dr. Rahila Aliyu Muktar, after medical assessments revealed multiple complex bone injuries requiring urgent specialist intervention.
Upon admission, a team of orthopedic surgeons conducted extensive evaluations and subsequently performed a highly delicate six-hour surgical procedure aimed at correcting the injuries, restoring functionality, and preventing long-term disability. The operation was successfully completed, followed by intensive post-operative care and close medical monitoring.
In a statement signed by public relations officer KSCHMA Aminu Ahmad Turaki said Following steady progress and significant improvement in her condition, Khadija has now been discharged in stable condition to continue her recovery and rehabilitation.
Speaking on the development, Dr. Rahila Aliyu Muktar expressed delight over the successful outcome and commended the dedication of the orthopedic team and the KSCHMA Rapid Response Team for their coordinated efforts in ensuring that the patient received timely and quality medical care.
She noted that the intervention reflects the healthcare priorities of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, under the Kano First Agenda, which places the wellbeing of citizens at the center of governance through equitable access to quality healthcare services.
The Executive Secretary reaffirmed KSCHMA’s commitment to supporting vulnerable patients through timely referrals, specialist care, and sustained follow-up to ensure positive health outcomes.
The successful discharge of Khadija Adam stands as another testament to the impact of the Agency’s Rapid Response Team in restoring hope, improving lives, and advancing inclusive healthcare delivery across Kano State.
