The Head of Hajj Compliance, Alhaji Yusif Abubakar Abba, has commended the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board for completing all necessary arrangements ahead of the Hajj 2026 exercise.
Alhaji Abubakar Abba made this statement during a visit to the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board as part of his zonal tour to state pilgrims’ boards.
He expressed satisfaction with the level of preparedness, noting that the Board has successfully secured the State Hajj License, established a fully functional ICT Section, and completed all necessary preparations for office accommodations and the Hajj Camp.
In his remarks, the Zonal Coordinator, Kano Zone, Alhaji Umar Muhd Kalgo, acknowledged the outstanding performance of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board. He noted that prior to his assumption of office, he had received consistent reports from various sources describing the Kano Board as a “first-class performer” in all aspects of Hajj operations.
Responding, the Director General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, expressed appreciation to the visiting team for their encouragement and recognition. He attributed the Board’s achievements to the unwavering support and commitment of Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusif, whose leadership has made it possible to attain such milestones.
In a statement signed by public relations officer state pilgrims welfare Board Comrade Sulaiman Dederi said the Chairman, Board of Directors, Alhaji Yusif Lawan, thanked the delegation from the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) for the visit, describing it as both timely and appropriate.
He assured the visiting officials that the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board will continue to uphold the highest standards in service delivery to pilgrims and maintain its leadership position in Hajj management across Nigeria.
