A prominent member of the Kwankwasiyya Movement and former adviser to the Kano State Governor, Alhaji Mustapha Hamza Buhari Bakwana, has described the former governor of Kano State, Engr. Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, as a visionary leader and one of the most influential political figures in Northern Nigeria, whose foresight continues to shape the region’s development and national progress.
Bakwana made the remarks in a heartfelt birthday message to Senator Kwankwaso, who turned 69 years old on Tuesday, October 21, 2025.

He noted that the former governor, who currently serves as the National Leader and 2023 Presidential Candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership qualities, courage, and a strong commitment to national growth particularly in education and healthcare, sectors where his policies have positively transformed countless lives in Kano State and across Nigeria.
“Today, we honor a leader whose footsteps echo through trials turned triumphs, and whose vision carves tomorrow from the stone of challenge,” Bakwana said.
“As we celebrate this historic day, may the year ahead rise to meet your purpose, drawing our nation nearer to the best in history.”

Bakwana further offered prayers for Allah’s continued blessings, good health, and greater success for Senator Kwankwaso, expressing optimism that his visionary style of leadership would continue to inspire progress and unity across Nigeria.
“We pray to Almighty Allah to grant our leader, Engr. Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, long life, prosperity, and divine guidance,” he added.
Senator Kwankwaso’s 69th birthday, Bakwana noted, stands as a reflection of his remarkable journey one defined by dedication, commitment, and sacrifice to the service of humanity and the nation.
Meanwhile, Bakwana expressed confidence in the leadership of Kano State Governor, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, describing him as a worthy successor who is building on Kwankwaso’s legacy. He commended the ongoing infrastructural and developmental projects across the state, which he said would soon transform Kano into one of Nigeria’s leading mega cities.
“The vision of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf aligns with that of our leader, and together, they are setting Kano on the path of sustainable development,” Bakwana emphasized.
