‎The Kano State Government, under the leadership of Abba Kabir Yusuf, has taken a significant step toward reducing urban congestion and enhancing commercial infrastructure through stakeholder engagement with key market leaders.

‎The State Commissioner for Land and Physical Planning, Alhaji Abduljabbar Mohammed Umar, led a high-level consultation with leaders of Yankaba Market (Vegetable Market) and Na’ibawa Yan Lemo (Fruit Market). The meeting forms part of the government’s broader strategy to establish a modern, well-structured, and efficient market in Dangwauro.

In a statement signed by Director public enlightenment state ministry for land and physical planning Murtala Shehu Umar said‎ the engagement focused on gathering insights, concerns, and recommendations from stakeholders to ensure that the proposed market aligns with the needs of traders. Discussions emphasized the importance of creating a conducive business environment, improved organization, and ease of operations for market users.

‎Market leaders commended the Kano State Government for its inclusive approach and expressed strong support for the initiative, pledging their cooperation to ensure its successful implementation.

‎This initiative underscores the administration’s commitment to sustainable urban development, economic growth, and improved livelihoods for traders across the state.
