The Kano North Journalist Forum, extends its deepest condolences on the passing of Alhaji Aminu Dantata, a towering figure in Nigeria’s business landscape, who died at the age of 94.
The death of Alhaji Aminu Dantata is a monumental loss, not only to his immediate family and community but to Kano State, Northern Nigeria, and the country at large. His contributions to commerce, philanthropy, education, and religious causes have left an indelible mark across generations.

A revered statesman and a patriarch of one of the most respected business dynasties in Nigeria and Africa, Alhaji Aminu Dantata exemplified integrity, humility, and service to humanity.
On behalf of the entire members of the Forum, under the leadership of Comrd. Shuaibu Sani Bagwai, we join millions of Nigerians in mourning this great loss, and we pray that the Almighty Allah (SWT) forgive his shortcomings, grants him eternal rest in Al-Jannatul Firdaus, and comforts his family and the nation.
He may have departed from this world, but his legacy lives on.
