The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has issued a warning to international airlines over the deportation of Nigerian passengers mid-journey due to visa or travel restrictions.

A statement by the Director, Consumer Potection and Public Affairs NCAA Michael Achimugu, condemned the practice of selling tickets to passengers without properly informing them of potential travel restrictions, only to deny them entry at transit points and return them to Nigeria.

The Authority emphasized that airlines must ensure passengers are aware of all travel requirements before departure, in line with Nigeria’s Civil Aviation Regulations.

The NCAA has now directed all international airlines operating in Nigeria to comply immediately or face penalties, including fines or suspension of operations.
