Kano state House of Assembly has assured its commitment to support move that will improve the Health sector.

The member representing Minjibir Constituency Kano state House of Assembly Alhaji Abdulhamid Abdul Minjibir stated while leading the highest level deligation in an oversight visit to Abbas primary healthcare and Gadanya primary healthcare centers in Bagwai Local government area.
He said the visit is part of the function of the state House of Assembly in over-sighting the activities of other arms.
“The purposes of the visit is to check the facilities interns of personnel, equipments as well structures and give the advice on how to improve it. “AA Minjibir said.
The lawmaker further said this is part of present administration on how to improve the Health sector in the state.
“This oversight visit will help to find any challenges in those facilities and look for the solutions. It also encourage the personnel in discharging their duties very,” AA Minjibir added.
“Am really satisfied with the visit, because I have been in Bagwai Local government area many years ago. But this time due to an official assignment am here. My interactions with the staff in those facilities was very impressive. Infact I want commend them for their diligent in the service delivery to the area,” The Lawmaker emphasized.
Alhaji Abdulhamid Abdul Minjibir pointed out that, in the last two years Kano state House of Assembly passed bills into law sent by the Governor for the good Governess includes the health sector.

During the intersections the in-charge of facilities that of Abbas primary healthcare and Gadanya primary healthcare centers Yusuf Haruna Bagwai and Muhammad Ilyasu Kabir highlighted some of the challenges facing the facilities that includes need to upgrade the Bagwai primary healthcare center to General Hospital because there is no General Hospital in the area there referral patients were sending to Bichi or Gwarzo general hospitals as well as additional of personnel especially Nurses and Midwives.
The high level delegation that conducted the visit comprised members of the state House of Assembly, Civil society organisations, representatives from state ministry for health, state primary healthcare management Board, KSCHMA and the Media organized by the Legislative Initiative for Sustainable Development LIESDEL through kano state House of Assembly legislative-led joint accountability spot check for straighting primary healthcare centers and secondary health facilities financing service delivery and outcomes.
