Ambassador Adesuwa Udo Empowers Women Traders in Sabon Gari with Aprons, Cash Support
Ambassador Adesuwa Udo, the Sabon Gari Town Coordinator for the Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf under the “AKY Go Again” movement, has distributed aprons and cash assistance to women traders across Sabon Gari Town as part of efforts to support small-scale businesses and improve women’s economic activities.

Ambassador Adesuwa Udo, who is also the Convener of Sabon Gari Women, Youths and Special Citizens Support Group for AKY Go Again and Renewed Hope Initiative, said the gesture was aimed at empowering market women and encouraging them to remain productive in their various trades.
Speaking during the distribution exercise, she explained that women play a vital role in the economic development of society, adding that supporting their businesses would contribute greatly to family welfare and community growth.
She noted that the initiative was also designed to complement the people-oriented policies and empowerment programmes of the Kano State Government under the leadership of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.

Some of the beneficiaries expressed appreciation to Ambassador Adesuwa Udo for the support, describing the assistance as timely and impactful, especially considering the current economic challenges affecting small business owners.
The market women further pledged to make proper use of the cash support and materials provided to improve their businesses and enhance their means of livelihood across Sabon Gari and other parts of Kano State.
The event attracted women groups, youths, community supporters and political associates, who commended the convener for her continuous efforts in supporting grassroots development and women empowerment initiatives in Kano State.
