A Magistrate Court Judge presiding the trial of Traffic offenders on major streets in Kano Metropolis has declared one Mr Bashir Fagge wanted for jumping and absconding trial before the Mobile Court.

The incident happened on the 2nd September, 2025 when Mr Bashir Fagge driving a motor vehicle with registration number KMC 302 BD committed a traffic offence by disobeying Traffic Control Light and Signs, contrary to Section 16(4) (7) and ( 8) paragraph 12 of the KAROTA Law, 2012.
Mr Bashir was charged before the KAROTA Mobile Court sitting at Ibrahim Taiwo Road by Gab Hotel junction, Kano, to stand his trial.
Surprisingly however, he absconded and jumped the trial.
It is in view of this, the Presiding Magistrate of the Mobile Court directed that, Mr. Bashir Fagge must appear before the Court on or before Tuesday, the 16th of September, 2025 unfailingly.

It warned that failure to appear will result in the issuance of a Bench Warrant for his immediate arrest and production before the Court.
It could be recalled that, recently, KAROTA launched the use of Mobile Court for the trial of traffic offenders on major roads and streets in Kano Metropolitan area.
This followed the rampant cases of violations of the traffic lights and Signs by Motorists, Tricyclists and other road users in the State Capital, in most cases resulting to injuries, lost of lives and damage to properties.
